Type Vintage Sheaffer fountain pen in excellent working condition.
Product Name Sheaffer Balance Lifetime "Petite", this was the smallest of the many Balance sizes.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - c. 1929-35 (the Balance was introduced in 1929, and ringtop pens were already going out of fashion, and are rarely seen after 1935).
Length 4-1/8"
Filling System Lever filler - working perfectly.
Color Green marble with a 3/32" cap band (it's halfway between 1/16" and 1/8"). It has a white dot near the top of the cap and gold filled trim.
Nib Fine 14k Sheaffer Lifetime nib.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a very small pen with the same overall appearance as its larger relative, in a dark and attractive color scheme. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The ringtop hardware on the cap is largely brassed. The lower edge of the cap band has quite a bit of brassing. There are horizontal marks from the cap lip. The lever has some brassing around the open end and scratch lines down its face. The white dot has a tiny chip out of the edge. The imprints are clear.
