Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition.
Product Name Craftsman 500.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - late 1945 to 1950s.
Length 5" long.
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working very well.
Color Brown striped body and cap with gold plated trim. Thin wire cap band.
Nib EXTRA FINE two tone Sheaffer's Feather Touch #5 14k nib is in nice condition. The masking has worn away a bit but this does not affect its writing. It's about as smooth as such a fine nib can be, with appropriate tipping. It has just a little spring to it.
Condition Excellent condition though there are some scratches on the cap and barrel. No brassing or plating wear apparent though there's some light microscratching on the trim. No cracks or chips, and no personalization. The imprint is still readable, though the number 500 is difficult to see. Fully restored and working well.
