Type Vintage fountain pen set
Product Name Crest Deluxe ... this is the thin version. (It's got the white dot on the cap, not the barrel.)
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA - 1950s.
Length Fountain pen is 5-1/4", and mechanical pencil is 5" long.
Filling System Touchdown filling system. We've restored it with a new sac and O-ring and it's working very well. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads.
Color Black bodies with a gold filled caps in a lined pattern. The cap of the pencil is marked "1/10 14k gold-filled" (no marks on the pen's cap).
Nib Fine two tone 14k Lifetime Triumph nib. It's firm but smooth, and has the serial number 2014347 stamped on it.
Condition Excellent condition in box. The fountain pen looks good. It has light handwear and scratching. No dents or dings on the cap. There are tiny pinprick dots of plating wear scattered around the cap. The sides of the clip has some touches of brassing. The cap threads have a bit of brassing. There are some tooth marks on the blind cap. The visulated section is clear. The pencil is in similar condition. Light handwear and scratching on the barrel, but no dents or dings on the cap. Ships in the original satin-lined box.
