Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Crest Lifetime fountain pen. There's a white dot on the end of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa 1937-41 (those were the years Crest pens were made with open nibs).
Length Just over 5-1/2".
Filling System Lever Filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Golden Brown striated with gold plated trim and a 1/10 14k gold filled cap in a lined pattern.
Nib FINE two-tone Lifetime nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. It's verging on extra fine. The masking is a bit worn, but this has no affect on the way it writes.
Condition Excellent condition. There's a little brassing on the edge of the cap lip and the clip, very minor corrosion and a tiny dent, as well as some light marks and microscratching on the cap. There are a couple of small surface cracks on the end of the barrel, typical for the striated patterns, but this does not affect its functionality. No chips, or severe dings or dents. It's fully restored and working well.
The cap is engraved with the initials "KTS" (see photos).
