Filling System The barrels of these "opalite" Crests tend to shrink (you can see this in the photo below), and so the original squeeze converters no longer fit. A push button filler is installed, as they are slightly more slender.
Color The body is red "opalite" lacquer (a red and black marbling). Black section. The cap and trim is 23K gold-plated. The cap has a repeating pattern of four lines followed by a wide open space. White dot on the top of the clip.
Nib MEDIUM Sheaffer 18k conical Triumph nib. (These modern Crest nibs always run a little finer than indicated.)
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a lovely, shiny pen in with very beautiful marbling. The cap and barrel have light scratching, and the shrinkage mentioned above. The cap band has microscratching. The clip is excellent. The white dot is perfect. The imprints are clear.
