Product Description
Type Cartridge fill fountain pen
Product Name Ring top pen. This is one of the "dolls" pens from the "Guys and Dolls" series. This is considered to be a precursor of the No Nonsense pens, however the nib unit is different and this pen has a wide band and the White Dot.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1969
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Takes Sheaffer cartridges. The Sheaffer piston and squeeze converters do not fit. They are too long. We have heard that the button converter will fit, but we have not confirmed that first hand.
Color "Turned on Orange" cap and barrel with a short black section. 1/4" cap band. Gold plated trim.
Nib FINE gold plated steel nib labeled "V". We don't know what the V stands for, but this nib looks like a fine. It was originally 23k gold plated but a lot of the masking has worn off. This nib unit is smaller than the No Nonsense nib units even though the pens look similar.
Condition Excellent + condition. The pen looks very good even though it does have some slight discoloration around the edges of the cap band and the breather holes. Low handwear and the aforementioned nib wear. The plating looks a bit thin on the cap band. It works very well.
