Product Name Sheaffer 550 -- a white dot pen from the Imperial line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- circa 1970s.

Filling System It takes the fat "classic" Sheaffer style rollerball refills. A working refill is installed.
Color Burgundy plastic barrel and cap with gold plated trim and a 3/8" wide cap band. White dot on top of clip.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny burgundy pen in a classic Sheaffer white dot design. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The section has a number of long, deep scratch marks that mar the surface. The barrel has marks caused by posting. The cap has some marks in the area just above the wide cap band and to the left of the clip that could be bite marks. The wide cap band has light microscratching and a few small dot indentations. The short clip has light to moderate microscratching. The white dot looks good. The imprints are clear.
