Product Description
Type | Fountain Pen |
Product Name |
"Lifetime" .... this was the cartridge equivalent of the Imperial IV. In 1963, to celebrate their 50th anniversary, Sheaffer renamed some of the white dot Imperial models "Lifetime." That word is on the nib, the clip, and impressed in the plastic on both the cap and the barrel. |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer, USA, 1963 |
Length | 5-7/16" |
Filling System | Takes sheaffer cartridges. Squeeze and piston converters do not fir the pen, they are too long, and the only converter that fits is the hard to find button converter. (Not included, though we will include a cartridge.) |
Color | Black barrel and cap with gold plated trim. |
Nib | 14k inlaid nib is somewhere between a medium and a fine |
Condition | The pen is in very nice pre-owned condition with some microscratching as well as very light scratches on the barrel and cap (see photos), including a few on the band. There's a bit of plating wear on the tip of the clip, but the pen is still quite nice looking, and writes very well. |
