Product Description
Type fountain pen with solid gold cap band
Product Name Sheaffer Lifetime Signature Triumph. This model is the slender, war-time version with the wide cap band. The wide 14k cap band was intended for engraving with the owner's signature, but this pen has not been engraved.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA, circa 1942
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Vac-filler (works well, just restored here at Peyton Street Pens)
Color Black striated with gold plated trim ... the 14k (marked) cap band is approx. 7/8" wide. White dot. The letters "C.O.H" are hand etched on the section, very small and easy to miss.
Nib 14k masked large Lifetime Triumph nib - fine, no flex, smooth.
Condition Excellent condition for this handsome shiny pen. The barrel has light scratching and a little bubble on its surface toward the bottom just below the imprint. There is decent visibility through the barrel. The cap has moderate scratching with some short deeper scratches (or perhaps bite marks) at the top of the cap. The cap band is nice and shiny and has only some microscratching and a small dent in the middle. The section looks great; the letters "C.O.H." are etched very lightly on it. Imprints are clear. No cracks or chips.
