Product Description
Type Fountain pen and pencil set
Product Name Sheaffer Lifetime Triumph 1250. This model is the version with the wide cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- circa 1942
Length Pen is 5-3/16" and pencil is a tiny bit shorter at 5-1/16"
Filling System Though we usually see this model with a vac-fil system, this fountain pen is a lever filler, which we have restored. It's working very well. Pencil lead extends and retracts by twisting the cap.
Color Carmine striated with gold plated trim. The cap bands are 7/8" wide with decorative lines etched in. The non-carmine stripes are a semi-transparent amber brown.
Nib FINE two-tone 14k Lifetime Triumph nib. It's firm and smooth. Pencil uses 0.9mm leads.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored pen and pencil set with gorgeous cap bands, and truly classical in design. The fountain pen barrel has moderate scratching, particular near the end and the tip of the end has a small chip. The cap has mostly light scratching with some crackled surface on the top point. The 7/8" cap band a tad of pitting on the upper and lower edges and a few small scratches on the band surface; the lined design is intact and the band is impressive in size and overall appearance. The lever has light scratching and a line of pitting along the top. The mechanical pencil has light to moderate scratching. The cone has light scratching. The 7/8" cap band has some microscratching but is overall very beautiful. The clip has some tiny dot mark scratches. The imprints on both pieces are clear.
