Sheaffer Lifetime Tuckaway fountain pen in the second version made circa 1942-5. Piston filler in the Carmine Striated color with a very wide gold plated cap band and no clip. White dot at top of cap.  Gold two tone Triumph style Lifetime nib is fine. Excellent condition, fully restored and working well.

Type  Vintage Vac-fil fountain pen.

Product Name  Lifetime Tuckaway 1250. This is the second version of the Tuckaway pen, with no clip and a very wide band.

Manufacturer and Year  Sheaffer, made in USA – 1942-45 (they began adding clips around 1945).

Length  Pen 4-1/2" .... though short, this pen is a very nice 5-1/16" posted and feels great in the hand.

Filling System  Vacuum, piston filling system. We restored and we will guarantee it for a year from date of purchase. it should last a good deal longer, but you never can tell with some of today's modern inks.

Color  Carmine Striated (striped) with gold plated trim.  White dot at top of cap.

Nib   FINE large 2-tone Lifetime conical 14k Triumph nib is firm and smooth with nice tipping material. 

Condition  Excellent condition. There are just some small scratches and signs of use. There's some very light wear on the chrome plated metal threads on the barrel. There's some handwear on the wide cap band, but no brassing. Imprint is very clear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance.
