Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully shiny, ornate pen that hearkens back to a past time of fountain pen design. The black areas are dark and shiny, with just a few scratches in the peek-through areas. The cap has light to moderate scratching, with some heavier scratching on the cap band. The gold plating is worn though on part of the cap band. There is also some pitting on the cap band. There is plating wear and some brassing on the edges of the filigree portions. The clip has moderate scratching, as well as some pitting on the upper half and a ring of scuffing and plating wear around the ball end. The barrel look much nicer than the cap - light to moderate scratching, but no noticeable plating wear or brassing. The piece at the end of the barrel is recessed or pushed in, which is unusual. The white dot looks great. The imprints are clear.
