Sheaffer Sentinel snorkel fountain pen and mechanical pencil set. Black bodies with chrome plated caps and gold plated trim. Fine 14k gold Triumph style conical nib is smooth. Excellent condition, in box and with instructions.   Fully restored and working well.

Product Name  Sentinel Snorkel Set

Manufacturer and Year  Sheaffer, made in Canada (imprinted on cap and barrel) -- 1952-59.

Length  Pen is 5-9/16", pencil is just over 5".

Filling System  The fountain pen is a snorkel filler, which is working very well after we restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket. The pencil take 0.9mm leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. It's working well, and we'll include a small pack of leads. 

Color  Black bodies with chrome plated caps and gold plated trim. 

Nib  FINE 14k gold Sheaffer's Triumph style nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. The nib has a gentle "Waverly" upturn. 

Condition  Excellent condition.  The set is shiny and elegant.  The mechanical pencil is dainty.  Both rest in the original Sheaffer's Snorkel pen box with instructions under the bottom pad.  Both the fountain pen and mechanical pencil have light scratching on the barrels.  The caps and trims are excellent with just some microscratching.  There are no cracks.  There are a few small dents on the top of the pen cap, but none on the pencil. The imprints are clear.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance.
