Type Vintage Snorkel filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Sovereign, from the Snorkel line. One of the less common snorkel models, it has a steel lined cap (with alternating straight and squiggle lines) with a gold filled clip, no cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1952-9.

Filling System Snorkel filler. We've restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Burgundy with a steel cap (with a pattern of two straight lines surrounding one line that has pointed squiggles), and gold clip. Black ribbed section.
Nib STUB two-tone open nib, 14k with palladium masking. We're not sure if the nib is just as it came from Sheaffer, or whether someone modified it. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully designed, shiny pen in a lovely color combination and with a uniquely decorated cap. The barrel has light scratching and microscratching. The cap has moderate microscratching with two micro-dots of pitting near the top. The clip has light microscratching. The imprints are clear.
