Type Vintage Snorkel filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Sovereign, from the Snorkel "TM" (Thin Model) line. One of the less common snorkel models, it has a steel lined cap with a gold filled clip, no cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1952-9.
Length 5-9/16" pen.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket.
Color Pastel Green with a steel cap, and gold clip.
Nib FINE two-tone F3 14k open nib, 14k with palladium masking.
Condition Very nice condition. There is a cluster of surface cracks on the barrel, all of which are purely cosmetic and do not go through the barrel all the way and do not compromise the vacuum. There are some minor marks and scratches on the barrel, and some light scratching on the cap. There are small spots of brassing on the very edges of the clip. No chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The imprint is worn mostly smooth, but you can still make most of it out in the right light. It's fully restored and working very well.
