Product Description
Type | Snorkel fountain pen |
Product Name | Sheaffer Statesman Snorkel |
Manufacturer and Year | Sheaffer 1952-5 Made in USA |
Length | 5-5/8" |
Filling System | Snorkel filler - we've restored it completely and it's working perfectly. We'll send instructions on how to use the snorkel filling system. |
Color | Black body and cap. Gold plated trim. |
Nib | Fine. Triumph nib isn't marked, but we believe it is PdAg (palladium silver) because that's what belongs on this model and we've read that it is not always marked. It looks great and writes very well. Little if any flex. |
Condition | Very nice condition and writing very well. The main flaws are cracks where the clip attaches (they extend downward, so it's easy to miss them as they are partially sheltered by the clip... they can't be seen in the photo.) The barrel has a few scratches, and there are some scratches on the cap as well. The trim is surprisingly nice. Despite its wear, this pen is quite sleek and works very well. It is ready to write! |
