Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - they started producing this version of the 1083 in 1990, it has a slightly fancier end to the barrel that the first version.

Filling System Takes Sheaffer cartridges (not included) or you can use bottled ink via the included converter.
Color #1083 hand lacquered black spiral pattern with gold plated trim. The thin gold ring on the cap, above the gold ring at the top of the barrel signifies that this is the later version of this model.
Nib MEDIUM Targa nib is in unused condition, with good tipping, and feels smooth. There are some marks in the plastic of the section, caused by capping, but this does not affect the writing at all.
Condition New old stock with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. In Shaeffer box. This is a gorgeous, shiny pen that is hard to find. The imprints are clear.
