Nib FINE two-toned 14k Triumph conical nib.
Condition Excellent + condition in box. There is microscratching and handwear on both pieces. Fountain pen: the cap looks really good, no dents or dings. The side edges of the clip have plating wear, and the open end of the clip has brassing. The cap threads have some plating wear. The barrel has moderate scratching. Barrel clarity is excellent. Mechanical pencil: No dents or dings on the cap. The sides of the clip have some plating wear, and there is brassing on the upper surface. The nose cone has some tiny dots of pitting, but otherwise looks great. The barrel has a line of tiny pits on the surface, extending nearly the whole length, which we see fairly often on these striated celluloids. (We attribute them to a remnant of the striated celluloid manufacturing process. They are shallow, and almost look like a line of bubbles in the material; they do not affect the performance or integrity of the pencil.) The box looks great. The outer surface is mostly smooth with no rips or tears. The inner lining has some small stains.
