Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. The ballpoint pen originally required the early fat cartridges, but this one has been modified and takes standard Sheaffer ballpoint refills. A working refill is installed and there is a used old-style refill cartridge in the box. The pencil takes 0.9mm (or "Thin") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. Both of the pens and the pencil are working very well, and we'll include a small packet of leads for the pencil.
Color Black with 1/10 14k gold filled caps with a lined pattern.
Nib MEDIUM two-tone Triumph Lifetime 14k nib.
Condition Excellent + condition, in alligator skin leather box with pretty purple velvet and silk lining. This is an elegant pen set with traditional styling. All three pieces look shiny and the black is dark and rich. The fountain pen has light to moderate wear on the barrel with some scratch marks at the end of the barrel extending from the white dot, caused by posting. The cap is beautiful and shows hardly any wear, though it has two shallow dents. The ballpoint pen barrel has light to moderate scratching, with the heaviest marks near the end. The cone and ridged section are perfect. The cap has microscratching and a small dent at the very tip. The mechanical pencil has light overall scratching on the barrel. The cap has a small dent on the very tip. The cone and ridged section of the barrel are excellent. The imprints on all three pieces are clear, and there is very little plating wear.
