Product Description
Type Snorkel filling fountain pen and mechanical pencil set, working well.
Product Name Valiant Snorkel fountain pen and pencil set. The pencil does not have a White Dot, so with the 1/4" band it's likely an Admiral model.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA - 1952-9.
Length Fountain Pen: 5-9/16"; Mechanical Pencil: 5"
Filling System Snorkel filling pen. We've restored it with a new sac, point gasket and o-ring, and we'll send instructions on how to use this filling system. The pencil takes 0.9mm (or "Thin") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. Both pen and pencil are working very well, and we'll include a small packet of leads for the pencil.
Color Burgundy with gold plated trim. The cap band on the pen is 3/8" wide, and the band on the pencil is 1/4" wide. The pen has a white dot, but the pencil does not.
Nib STUB two-tone Triumph 14k nib.
Condition Excellent condition, in box, with paperwork and with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The fountain pen cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching. The barrel has a number of long, thin scratch lines as well as some small marks near the grip section. This scratching affects the appearance of the barrel, slightly dulling the shine. The cap band and clip have light microscratching. The white dot has some surface marks. The mechanical pencil has light scratching all over, but looks nice in hand. There are some small marks in the grooves near the tip of the pencil. The cap band and clip have light microscratching. The imprints on both pieces are clear. Ships in box that has some wear. The original instructions are also included, though they have acquired some rust stains.
