Product Name Homo Sapiens Steel Age -- this is the smaller "midi" size. The "age" series means that the pen is made of lava resin and each age specifies the trim material.
Manufacturer and Year Visconti Pen Company, Italy -- 2000s (the midi size was discontinued in 2018).

Filling System Piston filling system operated by turning the blind cap. We tested it and it works well. (It is not the Visconti "Power Filler" which has a piston rod which pulls out.)
Color Black basaltic lava with shiny steel trim. This material has some interesting characteristics: flame-proof, very hard and almost unbreakable, moisture absorbing. It has a less than perfect finish caused by air pockets created during the material formation.
Nib Fine 23k palladium "Dreamtouch" nib. It is made of solid 23k palladium and writes very softly. Please be careful as these nibs are quite easy to spring.
Condition Near mint with light usage only. No scratches or marks. The lockdown band on the barrel (a grooved band in the lava material) to hold the cap in place looks a bit rough, but it is working excellently. No cracks, chips, or scratches. Comes in original Visconti box with booklet in a tray below the platform. The outer shell of the box looks great, but there is a bit of damage to the faux leather material inside.
