Product Description
Type fountain pen
Product Name Rinascimento Stardust SE - Black
Manufacturer and Year Visconti, Italy -- Early 2000s.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System This looks like a captured converter system and operates like a standard piston pen. ("Captured converter" just means that you access the end of the converter to turn the piston via the end of the barrel, as opposed to the more standard method of unscrewing the barrel/section. The converter can be removed to use standard cartridges.)
Color Called the black version, this is a barleycorn and smooth striped sterling barrel and clip with dark gray and white sparkling resin cap, section, and blind cap.
Nib Medium 14k nib. It has silver colored masking, probably rhodium. It's a wet and smooth writer.
Condition Near mint condition. There's consistent light microscratching and polishing marks on the sterling but the main thing to note is a teeny dent on the clip. In the first photo, it's the black dot on the clip. Otherwise the sterling imprints looks great as does the rest of the pen. In leather Visconti box with warranty card and booklet.
