Product Description
Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Doric, first generation
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA -- 1930s
Length 4-15/16"
Filling System Vacumatic (piston) filler. This was called the "One shot" vacuum filling system by Eversharp and is modeled after the Sheaffer vac-fil system. We've restored the filling system and it's working very well.
Color Not sure of the exactname for the color, but it is one of the "shell" colors in lavender - a marbled pattern of striped red-purple. It is really more like a gray burgundy than a proper purple. It has a large viewing area with a wired or "reticulated" pattern. Gold filled trim with a 1/8" cap band.
Nib MEDIUM 14k Eversharp nib. It is labeled "Manifold" and is firm with good tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. The color is great as is the transparency of the viewing section. Slight brassing on the clip, especially at the open end. Cap band also has some brassing and plating loss on the high spots. Cap imprint is clear. No cracks, chips, dents, or personalization. The pen is fully restored and working well.
