Product Description
Type Small ring top pen. PLEASE NOTE THE SMALL SIZE, AND THINK SERIOUSLY IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY WRITE WITH THIS PEN.
Product Name "52" is engraved on the end of the barrel. This may be similar to Waterman's numbering system - the 5 indicating that it's a lever filler, the 2 refers to the nib size - but we don't se these imprints on Wahls.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp - late 1920s
Length 3-3/4" long capped, excluding ringtop hardware. With the cap posted, the pen is 4-15/16" long, but know that you might risk cracking the cap if you post it.
Filling System Lever filler. We have installed a new sac and tested the pen and it is working well. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Black chased hard rubber, the chasing in a rick-rack pattern. Gold plated derby and lever.
Nib FLEXIBLE Wahl #2 nib -- see writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a super tiny ring-top pen with a noticeable bulge around the lever area of the barrel. The chasing is visible although faded (especially on the barrel). The cap color has faded to a chocolate brown. The barrel/section color is the original velvety black. The barrel has moderate scratching. The cap has a very few scattered scratches and one blotchy mark up near the gold top cap which may be a remnant of the glue used for the gold top. The lever has light microscratching. The gold cap top has light microscratching and the flat top has some plating wear. The ring-top looks good. The imprints are faded but can be read with magnification.
