Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil by Wahl
Product Name Dollar Pencil - this is the later version from the 1930s with the black top piece, and two wire bands, one on either side of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA - first half of the 1930s.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Takes 1.1mm (or "Thick") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cone). We'll include a small packet of vintage leads.
Color Black hard rubbber with gold plated trim. Two wire bands, one band above the clip, and one where the cone meets the barrel.
Condition Very nice condition. There's some tiny scraping, probably from teeth, on the end piece. Light scratching on the barrel and cone, with one tiny indent in the hard rubbber part of the cone. There's just a little plating wear on the ball of the clip (see photos), otherwise the plating is in nice condition. It's a nice looking pen, without much wear from the years. Working very well.
