Product Description
Type Fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name This is one of the Equi-Poised Gold Seal models with the seal mounted above the clip, with a roller clip, and three-ring cap band (two thin bands surrounding one thicker, decorated band). The seal is not "punched" .... It has the tapered Equi-Poised shape, but we're not sure to which exact series it belongs, officially.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA, early 1930s
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color Black with gold trim. Two thin gold bands near on both ends.
Nib EVERSHARP "FLEXIBLE". This produces very nice line variation from fine to broad, but we would not consider it full flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. This is a dark, velvety black, shiny pen in a tapered design. The cap and barrel have scratches. The barrel has heavy marks caused by the cap lip and lots of small scratches toward the end, including surface wear near the thin gold band. The cap has small, deep bite-like marks near the top. The lever and cap bands have plating wear. The clip looks excellent. The gold seal looks nice. The imprint on the clip is clear.
