Condition Excellent overall condition with no cracks. This is an impressive set with an oversized fountain pen and a sleek mechanical pencil. Both pieces have great shine. The coloration on the fountain pen is rather inconsistent with some of the "pearls" having mellowed to a caramel brown. The mechanical pencil coloration is uniform and gorgeous. The fountain pen has light to moderate scratching throughout with an area of polishing lines on the barrel to the left of the lever. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and some small dimple marks at the end. The cap has small deep marks (could be bites) at the top. The cap bands look very nice with just some microscratching and the clip looks very good. The mechanical pencil is rough at the top of the cap portion where there are many small marks, bites, and scratches. The barrel portion seems to have the remains of a personalization. The cone has small dings and light scratches. The imprints on the clip of the pen are clear; the imprints on the mechanical pencil are faint but readable.
