Color Black and Pearl. Some of the pearl portions have darkened a bit, but for a nearly 100 year old pen the color is quite nice. The pen has gold filled trim consisting of two narrow cap bands, a clip, the lever, and an end of barrel band. The section is black.
Nib FINE Eversharp Gold Seal Signature nib. The feed has an M on the reverse, which we'd usually associate with a medium nib, but this nib is definitely finer. It has nice flex with line variation from fine to double broad or more. Please see our writing sample in the photos.
Condition Excellent condition. There is a small crack in the cap lip, which only extends about 1/8" to the lower of the two cap bands. There's light scratching and handwear on the cap and barrel. Some of the pearl portions of the material have ambered a bit, and the original pearly quality is mostly gone. The clip has brassing along the edges and on the rollerball. Both of the cap lip bands have plating wear. The band at the top of the cap has a small bit of plating wear on the lower edge. The Gold Seal in the top of the cap is intact and looks great. The lever bar has plating wear. The cap imprint is somewhat faded, but still readable.
