Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen
Product Name Wahl Oxford (Regular)
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Oxford, it's not quite clear if Wahl Oxford is a line or a brand, made in USA -- Early 1930s, we know it's not the late 1930s version due to the cap shape and clip placement.
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color Brown marble with red veins. It has gold plated trim and two narrow cap bands. The plating on these Wahl Oxfords is very thin.
Nib Flexible Medium #3 14k nib. It is smooth and offers thick wet lines with minimal pressure. Please see the writing sample below. This pen usually came with a #3 Wahl Oxford nib but in this era Eversharp emphasized nib customization and it could be original.
Condition Excellent condition. The end of the barrel and the top of the cap have some shallow bite marks. The pen has handwear and heavy plating wear. The clip is almost entirely brassed. The plating on these pens started very thin so this wear is not unusual. Fully restored and working well. Strong imprint.
