Product Name Model 12 (marked on the end of the pen barrel). The 1 indicates eyedropper filler and the 2 is for the nib size.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- 1920s.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Eyedropper filling system. We've cleaned and tested it, it's working very well. We'll include an eyedropper kit and instructions on filling this pen. Filling system guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Black chased hard rubber. The barrel has two ornate gold filled cap bands that are 3/16" wide.
Nib FINE flexible gold nib is marked "Waterman's." Please see the writing sample below. We consider this nib almost full flex, as it flexes easily from fine to broad. Please note that there's no agreed upon method for measuring flex and everyone has their own definitions. We would not consider this a "wet noodle" as we would need to see more flex and an even softer feel to consider it that.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. This is a light, slim pen in a classic design with lovely gold bands on the barrel. The chasing is visible on both the cap and barrel. The color is nice and dark and shiny. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. Both the cap and barrel have quite a few heavy scratches and bite marks, especially under the gold band near the end of the barrel and at the top of the cap. The bands on the barrel have light microscratching, plating wear and some pitting along top and bottom edges. The clip has some brassing, plating wear on the ball end, and some light pitting along the edges. The imprints are clear.
