Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 452 (on the end of the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA - circa 1920s. The accomodation clip was made by L & C Hardmuth (France).
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Sterling overlay with black smooth hard rubber end piece. The barrel and cap are covered with sterling in a checkerboard called "Gothic" by Waterman. The accomodation clip is marked "FERCSILVER" but we can't seem to find info on what that is (it looks like silverplate).
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE. 14k Ideal New York nib. Please see writing sample. The nib flexes easily with minimal pressure, giving line variation from fine to double broad, not quite a "wet noodle" but close.
Condition Excellent condition, except for the fact that the original clip was broken and a slide-on clip was installed over the top of the old broken clip. Otherwise excellent. No cracks or chips or dents. The imprints in the hard rubber are good and readable. "Ben Lehr" personalization on barrel. This pen writes very smoothly with a good amount of flex. The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year.
