Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 503
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, England - 1940s
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Lever filler, restored with a new sac and working very well.
Color Black. The trim is gold plated or filled, with 2 narrow cap bands. The clip is silver colored but we think that is probably due to plating wear, as there is a suggestion of gold in the Watermans imprint.
Nib Medium flexible nib marked Waterman's 14CT W-2A. It has really good flex and requires only requires light pressure. See our writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips or scratches. There is some plating wear on the sides and around the open end of the clip. Cap bands have scratching and polishing marks. The lever bar has brassing and pitting. The imprint is slightly worn at the left and right edges, but is still easily readable. This pen writes very smoothly. The filling system is working well.
