Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Commando (it's marked on the barrel). This model was one step down in size from the standard Hundred Year Pen, and otherwise quite similar to the later Hundred Year Pens.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- early 1940's.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black with gold plated trim and two thin cap bands.
Nib The FINE Waterman's Ideal Rigid 14k nib is quite large. It's smooth with nice tipping material. No line variation.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen is shiny with light to moderate scratching. There are a few individual scratches on the cap, opposite the clip. The narrow cap bands have some plating wear. The clip has brassing along the sides and around the open end. The barrel has marks from the cap lip. The lever housing has some tiny dots of plating wear. The imprints are clear. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization.
