Product Name Waterman Hundred Year Pen (marked on the nib, and on the cap), De Luxe smooth version. (They also offered ribbed versions concurrently.)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, circa 1941. This is the second year version, with four barrel bands and a military-compliant clip.
Length Full size 5-1/4". This is the De Luxe or oversized version.
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the bladder with a sac in the pen and the filling system works well. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads.
Color Red transparent smooth barrel and cap, made of Lucite. Gold plated trim.
Nib Huge gold Waterman Hundred Year Pen nib. Fine with a good amount of flex, garden variety flexible, not full flex. See writing sample.
Condition FOUNTAIN PEN: Superior working condition. Light handwear on the body and trim, with no brassing. Lucite can be prone to cracking, but luckily it doesn't crumble like the material used in the later Hundred Year pens. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The nib writes super smoothly and has good tipping material. The cap imprint is worn but readable. It is ready to write.
PENCIL: Excellent + condition. Light handwear, but no cracks, chips, scratches, or personalization. No brassing or plating wear. It works well.
