Product Name Lady Garland Taperite fountain pen with steel cap. The barrel has a partial sticker on it, identifying it as an 897V, with a Fine Flex nib.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA - circa later 1940s.

Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black body with a steel cap with a decorative line pattern. Gold plated clip and cap top.
Nib Fine 14k "Taperite" nib is semi-hooded and has a bit of flex. It does take a bit of pressure, but you can go from a hairine to a medium. Please see our writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dents. There is a partial sticker still affixed to the barrel, identifying the model as 897V, the nib size as Fine Flex, and an original price of $8.7(something - the last digit is torn off). The barrel has faint marks caused by the cap lip. The lever bar and box have plating wear on the edges as well as on the lever tab. The cap has light scratching and a scattered scuffs. The clip has some brassing on the edges and a bit of pitting around the letters. The imprints are clear.
