Color "Onyx" color. This is a cream or light caramel color with red veins. (The design doesn't match its name at all.) 1/8" cap band with a simple etched design. The trim is gold filled. The cap lip, section, and feed are a dark red hard rubber.
Nib EXTRA FINE FLEXIBLE Waterman Ideal #2 nib, almost full flex. It's got decent tipping material and feels smooth to write with. Line variation from extra fine to a wet broad. See the writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. Aside from the typical discoloration. the main flaw is a crack in the cap that runs from the right edge of the end of the clip to the left edge of the end of the clip, with an arc in the middle (see photo). The cap is stable. The barrel has horizontal capping lines and light to moderate scratching. There is a small surface scar about a half inch from the end of the barrel. The cap has moderate scratching. The section looks excellent. The short, scalloped clip is very pretty, with a little bit of plating wear under the scallops. The gold edges of the top of the cap also have some plating wear. The imprint is crystal clear.
