Filling System Lever filler - excellent working condition with a new sac.
Color Grey in a marbled pattern that is vaguely stripey. The trim is gold plated. There is a single thin cap band.
Nib Fine 14k nib is marked "Watermans IDEAL 14K" is semi-flexible. If you are looking for flex that is easy to write with on an every day basis, these 1940s Watermans can't be beat in terms of flex-per-dollar. Line variation from fine to medium. Please see writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dents. This is a shiny, silky pen with beautiful coloring and in a classic design. The cap and barrel have moderate wear. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The thin cap band has scratching and some pitting. The clip has some small amount of brassing toward the tip, but otherwise has excellent plating. The imprints are clear.
