Manufacturer and Year Welty Pen Company, made in Iowa, USA -- 1904-1915, they stopped using "Wawco" in 1915 when they became the Evans Dollar Pen Company. The formal eyedropper years for this company were 1904-1906.
Length 5-5/16".
Filling System Eyedropper filler. We cleaned and tested it and it's working very well. We will send instructions and recommendations for usage as well as some silicone grease and an eyedropper.
Color Red mottled hard rubber. It is black and bright orange. The cap has a carved band for ornamentation.
Nib MEDIUM SEMIFLEXIBLE #4 14k nib is smooth with nice tipping material remaining. The tipping has an almost architect shape to it so it takes practice to get more obvious line variation. See writing sample below. The tines have some small nicks that don't affect writing.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen looks just about perfect with very bright orange and dark black. It has a clear barrel imprint. The cap has a crack though. It is a fine crack and difficult to notice in indirect lighting but it does go all the way to the carved line. Do not post this pen.
