Type Full size lever filler fountain pen with a very expressive nib.
Product Name Mercantile, it's marked on the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Aikin, Lambert & Co., New York -- 1930s. (We're familiar with the earlier hard rubber eyedropper Mercantiles, we didn't realilze they extended the model name to include the later celluloid pens.)
Length 5-1/2".
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the sac and cleaned and tested the pen and it's working very well.
Color Jade geen celluloid with gold trim
Nib FLEXIBLE ITALIC Aiken Lambert #2 nib. See writing sample below. Very smooth and wet with a lot of expressiveness.
Condition Excellent condition with some dark discoloration on the barrel. There are a few very small scratches and marks. No cracks or chips, and the imprint is really readable and clear. We've cleaned and tested the pen and it's working very well.
