Color Vermeil - gold plating over sterling silver. According to the accompanying literature: "barrel, cap, chiseled rings and head" are all vermeil.
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib. The back of the feed is marked with an M. There is a visible scratch on the nib, just above the "18K" mark, which does not affect the pen's writing performance.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. The barrel and section have microscratching, but are largely smooth with no noticeable individual scratches. The cap and trim look fantastic, with mostly just light polishing marks. There is a ring of very light scratching on the plain band near the end of the barrel, where the cap has been posted a few times. The pen has had ink in it, but we really only see light signs of usage. The imprints are clear. Ships in wooden box with outer cardboard sleeve and paperwork. There is also an accompanying CD in the box with selections from Verdi's most famous works.
