Product Description
Type Modern Fountain Pen
Product Name Idea, this is considered a student pen.
Manufacturer and Year Aurora, Italy -- Probably early 2000s.
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Takes Aurora (Parker)-style cartridges or converters. An Aurora converter is installed.
Color All black cap and barrel. Chrome plated trim. This pen originally would have have a rubbery matte finish but over time the rubber melts and becomes a sticky mess. This is the pen after the rubber has come off. The color looks very smooth and uniform.
Nib Fine steel nib. It is smooth and labeled F. It has the same shape as the Ipsilon nib but has a different design etched on it.
Condition Very nice condition. The pen does not have its original problematic finish we see on some Ideas (which got sticky and tacky, but was easy to remove). There is some pitting on the three chrome plated trim bands and a very small dot on the clip. There is some light round marks on the cap. There are microscratches especially near the trim pieces. There is only slight handwear on the black parts of the pen. No cracks, chips, dents, or scratches.
