Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name A custom version of the Bexley taper cap
Manufacturer and Year Bexley, USA -- c. early 2000s.
Length 6-1/8", or 7-1/4" when cap is posted (it's a lot like writing with a desk pen!)
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed. The pen is advertised as well-suited for eyedroppering but the barrel unthreads very easily so we wouldn't recommend it.
Color Yellow acrylic with black swirls. The pen has a segmented feel with a cap equal in length to the barrel. The barrel has two 1/2" gold plated bands with a spiral pattern. The end of the barrel is threaded for posting. The clip is very easy to remove.
Nib 18k Stub nib. It's two tone and size #5. Very smooth.
Condition Near mint with some handwear. The trim looks great. No cracks, chips, scratches, or dents. Please note that the pen is very easy to disassemble and you might find yourself unthreading the barrel instead of removing the cap when trying to get to the nib. Ships in its very nice leather box with the original eyedropper and paperwork.
This pen has the same body as the limited edition pen that Bexley made in 2001 for the Pen Collectors of America (PCA) in 2001, but the material is completely different.
