Product Description
Type Modern Fountain Pen
Product Name We think this pen might be from the Hercules collections. This is an obscure brand, but there's a very informative post on FPN about the brand.
Manufacturer and Year Cesare Emiliano, Italy -- looks a lot like the pens currently offered by the company.
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System This takes international cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed.
Color Sterling silver cap, section, and end piece. The barrel is made of a precious wood inlay of briar wood and mahogany, giving it a textured burnt orange coloring. Sterling hallmarks on cap and section (see photos). 3/8" cap band is imprinted Cesare Emiliano. The sterling silver cap has a pattern of three squiggly lines followed by a blank space.
Nib Medium steel nib.
Condition Near mint condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a heavy, uniquely crafted pen, that looks elegant and deslightful. The barrel texture makes identifying any marks very difficult -- they do not appear to be any. There is micro-scratching (or polishing marks) throughout the sterling. The clip is beautiful in design and condition. All hallmarks and imprints are clear.
