Color Black chased hard rubber with gold plated trim, including a 1/2" wide cap band. The chasing pattern on the cap and barrel is smoothed out, but still visible in places.
Nib FINE #4 Conklin Toledo 14k gold nib. A big nib that is nicely flexible, and soft, with line variation from fine to double-broad. Writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. There is some fading on the barrel and cap. The chasing is worn, but still somewhat visible; the chasing on the cap is a bit stronger than the barrel. The clip has some plating wear around the edges, and wiggles slightly side-to-side (about 1/4"). The lever bar has some brassing on the pivit end. The barrel imprint is quite worn down, but you can still make out what it says. The cap band is personalized with the initials "N L P" in an elaborate script.
