Product Description
Type Power Filler Fountain Pen
Product Name Conklin Nozac Word Gauge #056/150. The word gauge system uses the transparency of the barrel to tell the user how many words can be written with the amount of ink with the pen.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin branded, but we believe it was made in Italy by Visconti -- sometime in the 2000s, though we are unable to pin down a specific date.
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Power Filler System. It works like a plunger system. See Visconti's directions on how to use it.
Color The cap, section, and blind cap are made of a black and pearl cracked ice type material. The barrel is clear with a sterling silver overlay. There's a window in the silver to show you the ink level, and markings on one of the windows purport to tell you about how many words you can write with the remaining ink.
Nib 18kt two tone medium nib. The nib says "Conklin USA" on it.
Condition Near Mint condition, in original box. The barrel has excellent transparency and the imprint looks great. There is some tarnishing on the silver overlay. The cap and barrel has some light microscratching. There are some polishing marks on the overlay and trim. There is no ink staining of the barrel or cap and the nib looks perfect. Ships in large gift box (it's about 9" by 7.5", and 2" tall) with outer cardboard box.
