The color has mellowed to a consistent chocolate brown. The original black is visible on the section and under the cap on the barrel. The chasing looks good. The cap looks excellent, though the clip has heavy plating wear and pitting. The barrel has some longish scratches at the end as well as marks caused by the cap lip. The section has a number of heavy scratches. The crescent has a few heavy scratches (DIY initials) on the side opposite the writing. The cap band has pitting along the top edge and light microscratching elsewhere. The imprints are clear.
