Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with a gold filled crescent and fancy 7/16" wide cap band.
Nib Extra-Fine Conklin Toledo #4 nib. Near full flex. Line variation from extra fine to broad, so it's not dramatic, but the nib feels soft and it flexes easily. There are some scratches on the face of the nib. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark, classically designed pen. The black hard rubber has faded slightly to a dark chocolate brown, except under the cap, where the section is darker. The chasing pattern is largely smoothed out, but the shadows still show the motif. The cap band has some touches of brassing on the upper and lower edges. Cap band is personalized with the initials "J.L.T." in a fancy script. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and there is scratching at the end of the barrel. The cap looks great. The crescent has some brassing along the upper edge. The imprints are slightly faded but still readable.
