Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber section with 14k gold filled and crescent. The smooth gold area under the cap is marked 14k * 1/5. The pattern on the gold fill is sheaves of wheat and lines, formally known as "Alternating Hand Engraved Vine and Pinstriped Panels". Scimitar and crescent emblem on the top, a symbol for the Masons.
Nib Full flex extra fine Conklin Toledo nib. We can't see the nib number but we guess it is probably a #2. Soft feeling with line variation from extra fine to broad. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a gorgeous, ornate pen with a fantastic golden glow and beautiful patterning and design. The cap and barrel have microscratching. The top edge of the cap has a bit of plating wear and a couple of small dings. The crescent has scratching along the top edge. The smooth gold area under the cap is marked 14k * 1/5. The imprints are clear.
