Product Description
Type Vingage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Conklin Endura oversized (the imprint is readable).
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio -- circa mid-1920s.
Length 5-3/8" (oversized).
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Red and black hard rubber in a woodgrain pattern. There are some lines engraved around the barrel, but there are only a few traces of the original orange coloring left in the grooves (mainly on the band near the end of the barrel). The wide band is 14k gold (marked).
Nib Medium gold Conklin Endura nib is smooth and fairly firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Very nice condition for this oversized beautiful, shiny, woodgrain-y pen. The barrel has light scratching, mainly on the area under the band. There are marks caused by the cap lip and the section has an area of surface imperfection (possibly glue). The tiny lever has microscratching but no plating wear. The cap has two short cracks at the cap lip, one near the 14k mark on the cap band and one on the opposite side of that. The wide 7/16" cap band has moderate microscratching and one tiny indent mark above the 14k. The clip has plating wear along the right side of the top edge and on the end. The imprints are clear.
