Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition.
Product Name Conklin Endura (the imprint is readable)
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio - mid-1920s
Length 4-1/4" excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. The pen has been fully restored with a new sac.
Color Black celluloid. There are some lines engraved around the barrel, and the grooves still show some of the original orange paint.
Nib FINE gold Conklin Endura nib is flexible, good for every day writing, but not full flex. With some pressure it can produce a double broad line. Nice tipping material remaining, it feels quite smooth. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition. The gold cap finial has quite a few dents in it, which are mostly smoothed out and there's not too much plating damage. There's slight brassing on the lower edge of the cap band. There's light scratching on the pen's body and cap. There's a scratch that runs across the cap band (see photo below). No cracks, chips, or personalization. The nib has some surface scuff marks near the tines, but they're not deep and don't affect the functioning of the pen. The pen looks really great. Fully restored and working well.
